Life on Top: Top of the Hill Pitch Deck

My 1893 Brand Studio team and I collaborated on a four-month market research campaign about local Chapel Hill staple Top of the Hill. Using data-driven insights we created campaign ideas in order to reinvigorate the restaurant’s nightlife. I served as part of the strategy and pitch team for the project. Matt McGloin Campaign Portfolio

In a political communications capstone course, I participated in a mock congressional campaign simulation on behalf of Matt McGloin, the current Lackawanna County Comissioner and former Penn State Quarterback. My team and I developed the campaign strategy, messaging points, advertisements and videos, and scripted speeches for our candidate. Click on the link to see our final portfolio!

UNCUT: Switching Lanes

As a member of UNC UNCUT, which aims to be a storytelling platform for student-athletes, I had the opportunity to tell the story of a swimmer and her experience with a rare-autoimmune disease. Watch the video below!

Work Experience

WRAL Paris Olympics Reporter

Served as an on-the-ground reporter in Paris covering North Carolina athletes, coaches and fans at the Olympics. Flipped 12 packages on 12 different sports and wrote nine web stories throughout the two weeks reporting.

1893 Brand Studio Campaigns Team Lead

Ideate campaign strategies to increase customer engagement for local Chapel Hill restaurants and businesses, namely through social media content calendars as well as in-person marketing engagements. Manage a student group of 10 to make sure they are completing projects timely and assisting with the onboarding process for new hires.

UNC Admissions Senior Social Media Intern

Created content and monitored Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube channels for UNC Admissions. Brainstormed, edited, filmed and wrote captions for posts and videos as well as respond to direct messages in a friendly, informative, and timely manner.

UNC Admissions Ambassador

As an admissions ambassador, I conduct tours of the UNC campus and act as a representative of the university. I lead panels with 200+ people as well as walking tours for prospective students and their families.

PR Intern for Monet Richardson Community Foundation

Worked with local Chapel Hill non-profit to strengthen outreach efforts, including writing a newsletter and building media lists.

Summer Camp Counselor and Program Director at Camp Agawak for Girls

For three summers, I worked as a camp counselor in Minocqua, Wisconsin. I worked with 12, 13, and 14-year-olds for 8-weeks at this overnight camp. I provided social and emotional support and mediated interpersonal conflict. I planned and led various activities including waterskiing, lacrosse, jogging, soccer, and sailing. In 2021, I received the “Counselor of the Year” award for my dedication and leadership. In 2023, I began my role as program director where I oversaw nightly programming for 300+ girls. Earned “Creeder Award” in 2023 for my commitment to camp values and leadership on staff.
